Eagle Mountain Youth Soccer offers two ways to be a certified referee: IREF and Grassroots.

IREF Certification Course
As an IREF referee, you can officiate recreation- and district-level games for EMYS

We are excited to announce that we are offering FREE training for young referees, enabling them to referee recreation games for EMYS/UVUEM. Here are some details about the training:

This training is a 2-hour online course! To be a referee, the kids will need to provide their own black shorts, a yellow referee shirt, and black socks. And here’s the best part...the referees will get paid!
State-Level Certification
To referee state-level competitions, you must become certified through the US Soccer Federation Referee Program.
